APP BCV Submersible Pumps are sewage pumps that have vortex impellers with wide pump casings for pumping waste containing fibrous material and suspended solids from 50mm to 80mm. The full range features cast iron pump casings, impellers and head covers, except the BCV400 which has a thermoplastic head cover. For increased wear resistance they have 410 stainless steel shafts with double mechanical seals (inboard: silicon carbide-silicon carbide) in an oil chamber. Quality of build, large free passage, massive flow and good head all incorporated at an economic price make this range popular in commercial and agricultural applications. They are not, however, recommended for ponds or water features. 0.40kW and 0.75kW have a one piece volute and outlet for free standing applications only, while the models 1.5kW to 3.7kW have a flanged outlet bend(which is included) to enable free-standing use or connection to a guide hook for guide rail applications. An auto-coupling kit, for guide rail use, is an optional extra. This includes a pedestal, guide hook and top bracket, but not rails. Supplied with 10 metres of heavy duty rubber power cable.
