Self Priming Pumps

Sell Priming pumps are available in Cast Iron, Stainless Steel and other exotic materials, suitable for applications which require a fixed or transportable pump.

Self priming pump applications would normally be where the suction line is empty after each pump cycle, i.e on a suction lift from a sump.  The pump must be primed on its initial use but will retain enough water in it's body to prime the next time it is required. 

Dry prime models are also available which do not have to be wet primed prior to use.

They can be fitted with electric or engine drives.
